Included in every licence

Whichever step you start on, this comes with the licence.

  • Every module - no feature gates
  • Management area + setup wizard
  • hub.apparch.io image access; in air-gap the images can be carried inside
  • RS256-signed .lic - offline verification, no licence server
  • Project and member limits defined in the contract
  • Installation guidance and email support
  • Archito: an assistant that learns from your installation's own data

The modules your licence brings

All of them in every licence; switch on the ones you need and leave the rest off.

ArchPilot Reads the changed code of every merge/pull request against your architecture rules and leaves inline comments; if you want, it stops the pipeline on a serious finding. Learn more ArchScan Scans the whole codebase: layers, dependencies, complexity, duplication and code smells. Gives each project a score and a line-by-line findings report. Learn more ArchSecurity Static security analysis (SAST) and vulnerable-dependency checks; maps the findings to OWASP, PCI-DSS, STIG and CASA controls. Learn more SmartScan Follows every entry point down to the database and shows failure scenarios - a half-written change, a record not found, a value too long for its column - with the chain that leads there. Learn more Compliance Scores your repositories against policy rules; with an ISO 27001 mapping and manually ticked controls it gives you an audit-ready report. Learn more Git Health Runs 29 checks on how repositories are run - branch protection, merge request rules, CI security steps - automatically. Learn more Service Catalog An inventory of your services: owner, tier, deployments and the infrastructure each one depends on, in one place. Learn more Engineering Analytics Merge request flow, review times, DORA metrics and delivery flow; shows where work waits. Learn more ADR Records architecture decisions with their context, decision and consequences, and tracks each one's status and history. Learn more Archito An assistant that learns from your installation's own data; it points out merge requests open longer than usual and failures that keep coming back. Learn more

What sets the price?

Project count

The number of tracked projects defined in the licence. Counters run per calendar month and reset at the start of each month.

Member count

The number of people who will use the panel. Not every developer on the Git side - only the team that signs in to AppArch counts.

Term and support

The licence is yearly; on renewal you receive a new .lic file. Support scope and installation guidance are settled in the quote.

Your quote Request a quote

The honest-limit rule: an overage is treated softly first - up to 7 days and 10% tolerance. After that the limit kicks in; there is no automatic extra charge, and if the need is permanent we update the licence together.

Pricing models side by side

Code analysis tools are priced on four common models: lines of code, developers, usage, or no licence fee and running it yourself. The difference is what makes the bill grow and where your code runs.

Per line of code Per developer Usage-based Open source, self-run AppArch
Billing
What the price is based on Lines of code analysed Every developer writing code (a seat) Scans, analysis minutes or credits No licence fee Projects and panel users; a fixed yearly fee
What makes the bill grow The code base growing Every new developer More frequent scans, more repositories Your team's maintenance time Only projects or users added to the licence; lines of code do not change the price
Budget predictability The tier shifts as the code grows Rises as the team grows Changes month to month with usage Zero licence; the cost is people's hours Fixed for the year; no surprise invoices
When a limit is passed You move up a tier You buy a new seat Billed as you use No licence limit; the capacity is yours 7 days and 10% tolerance; no automatic extra charge
Scope
Where your code is analysed Depends on the product: cloud or installed Varies by product Usually in the provider's cloud On your own servers On your own servers; it never leaves
Modules Security and reporting often in a higher edition Features split into edition tiers May be charged per scan type You assemble the tools yourself Every module in every licence
Compliance reports (OWASP, PCI DSS, STIG, CASA) Usually a higher edition Varies by product Often a separate product You compile the report yourself Included in the licence
Getting started and running it
Trial Often a free tier for small code bases Usually a time-limited trial Starter credits Download and go A time-limited PoC licence on your own servers
Installing and running The provider in the cloud, you when installed Varies by product The provider Installing, updating and integrating are all yours Yours; one server with Docker Compose, migrations run themselves

Categories are generic and do not describe any specific product. The capabilities of your own tools may differ.

From first message to a live licence

For evaluation we issue a time-limited PoC licence. You install on your own infrastructure and evaluate with your real repository; if you walk away, you delete the images and nothing remains outside.

Frequently asked

What is the price based on?
On three things: the number of tracked projects, the number of panel members and the contract term. Tell us what you need and the quote usually arrives within one business day. Before deciding, you can try it on your own code with a PoC licence.
Is a trial (PoC) possible?
Yes. We issue a time-limited PoC licence; the installation lives on your own infrastructure and you evaluate with your real code. When the PoC ends, extending or walking away is a single email.
Does our code leave the premises?
No. The analysis runs entirely inside your network. There are only two contacts with the outside: the image registry (hub.apparch.io) and the licence file - in an air-gapped install both are carried inside by hand. AI features are optional and reach only the provider you chose.
What happens if a limit is exceeded?
Counters run per calendar month. An overage first gets up to 7 days and 10% of tolerance; after that the limit takes effect. There is no automatic extra charge - if the need is permanent, the licence is updated.
How is payment made?
By invoice, via bank transfer. No credit card is needed; we work with the paperwork your purchasing and procurement processes require.
